"Failure Is An Event, Not A Person"

“Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, 'Where have I gone wrong'.
Then a voice says to me, 'This is going to take more than one night.”
~Charlie Brown

Self-confidence does not necessarily imply 'self-belief' or a belief in one's ability to succeed. For instance, we may be inept at a particular sport or activity, but remain 'confident' in our demeanor, simply because we don’t place a great deal of emphasis on the outcome of the activity. When we decide to not dwell on negative consequences we can become more 'self-confident' because we are not worrying about failure or the disapproval of others. We are then able to focus on the actual situation, which means that enjoyment and success in that situation is also more likely. Belief in one's abilities to perform an activity comes through successful experience and may add to, our self-confidence.

“Remember that failure is an event, not a person” ~ Zig Ziglar

The root of all real confidence comes through our life-giving relationship with Christ. Christ actually put all men and women on a level playing field.
Having confidence because of our life in Christ should take precedent over our skills, education or other natural positions in life. It’s this confidence that we have in Christ that gives us the opportunity to be in life-giving healthy relationship with all others including leaders above, beside and even those following our lead without any sense of prejudice or inferiority.

Remember Jesus Christ has enough confidence for the both of you (Philippians 4:13).

Be Life Giving!
